Timothy H asked:
I was driving in Sterling Heights, Michigan on Van **** Avenue yesterday. There was a bunch of cracks and bumps on the road… I cracked my two front rims, and blew a front tire! What should I do? Can I get money from the city to replace the rims and tire?

probably not. a friend drove over a rock left in the road by a construction crew and blew the left side out and cracked the rims. the only reason he got it replaced was because of the crews negligence. you can try though, the worst they can do is say no right? your probably gonna have to bite the bullet on that one.

The city will not pay for it.
For it.

Yes you can as I am very sue that they are aware of how horrible their streets are- this makes them negligent and responsible. If you were in NYC and this happened in NYC, I would say you are outta luck, as in NY, this would be totally your fault. But then again, NYC runs on their own sets of laws and regulations, these rules that they run by are specifically designed to protect their scamming behinds from lawsuits.

Not unless you show that it is thier fault and that it happened there. Just learn to drive in better places and watch where you ae driving.
