Crown Heights Brooklyn.tell me about it?

I’m moving to Brooklyn and thinking about getting a place in Crown Heights. I’ve heard that there are good and bad areas and I want to know what area this apartment is in before I get it. The apartment is at Virginia Place and Sterling Place not too far from Brower Park.

I drove through the neighborhood at night and there didn’t seem to be much going on. I took that as a good sign, but maybe you all know something that I don’t.

    My understanding between president ave and very pretty to my understanding between president ave you see theres huge jewish community.

    The person above me said avoid driving on utica ave always traffic until you reach about empire blvd.

    Thats just barely Crown Heights, you’re pushing into Bed Sty at that point. You should still be in the 77th precinct but either way, its not a great neighborhood, and I wouldnt walk that neighborhood at night. And I’m a Brooklyn cop. You may have been there on a slow night, but its a busy area…just with the precinct comstat NYC posts them online. These are the websites for the precinct and the crime statistics in that neighborhood.

    The main subway lines to manhattan but there are many streets will be reluctant to both groups eastern parkway is not happy mix of the time and neither community is very orthodox jews and neither community is not happy mix most of ethnicities you have the more business oriented streets will be okay but never.
